Chiavenna is located between the foot of the Alpi Retiche and the basin of Lake Como, a few kilometers from the ski area of Madesimo and half an hour from St. Moritz, an extraordinary meeting place of peoples and cultures, and famous for its Crotti - cavities in the rock where the temperature constant throughout the year allows the perfect preservation of wines, cheeses and cold cuts - which the festival takes place every year in September.
Thanks to the hospitality offered by its mountains, Chiavenna allows visitors to hike all year round, walking, cycling, skiing, or climbing the rock walls that rise everywhere in the valley.
